The lovely Four Seasons on the tiny island of Lanai.

Sunset at Mauna Kea on the Big Island.

I am working with a fantastic couple who are planning a 2011 wedding in Hawaii. We visited four islands in five days last week in search of a private home for their celebration. We found several amazing homes.

TASTE!

Ahi Poketini – not only a wonderful presentation but also delicious

Caprese made with heirloom Hawaiian tomatoes and fresh mozerella. Simple and perfect.

Freshly caught Fish served with tomatoes, capers, artichokes and garlic.

Fresh fruit crisp at General Store in Maui

Tastings are not only fun – they serve a purpose. This is where you decide if the salad should have more dressing, the steak more sauce… I encourage my clients to be honest and critical at tastings. I take notes and pictures at all tastings.

Wonderful Tasting at Ojai Valley Inn

The lovely grounds at Ojai Valley Inn

Guests are in for a real treat –

Ice cream sandwiches made to order

Shrimp Provencal –

One of the many delicious items guests will enjoy

Tastings are always fun and our tasting today at Ojai Valley Inn for an October wedding was no exception. Fall will be in the air and quite evident in the unique touches we are planning.
More to come on this wonderful wedding.

Fresh & Fun

Delight and surprise your guests. The bride’s grandfather was in the apple growing business so we incorporated apples in her centerpieces. Miniature apples held the seating cards.

In addition to strawberries -think raspberries, blueberries and pineapple when offering chocolate covered fruit. Lee Gelfond http://gelfondchocolate.com/ makes these delicious treats by hand.

The bride’s favorite flower (Calla Lilies) were a fun statement on the cake. Rosebud Cakes –
http://rosebudcakes.com/ did an amazing job.

Rock N’ Roll is Here to stay

I am pleased to share a few photos from a fun and classy bar mitzvah I coordinated for dear, long term clients at Riviera Country Club over the weekend.

Intimate Santa Barbara Wedding

Here’s a peek at a few shots from the wedding we planned this weekend at The Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara. More will come soon from the unbelievably talented Amy and Stuart.
Instead of the expected California sun this ceremony took place during a rainy evening. We smoothly moved the wedding into a lovely room with a roaring fire. It was a beautiful wedding and the bride Amy was calm and wonderful. She was disappointed that Amy and Stuart weren’t able to capture the beach photos she had expected due to the weather – so they came back the next day and took glorious photos at the beach. Now that’s dedication!

Malibu Magic

What a fun wedding to coordinate! This wedding held at a gorgeous Malibu estate reflected the couple’s eclectic tastes and personalities. The decor featured Moroccan and Indian influences as well as classic antiques and whimsical touches throughout the property.
Rrivre Works and Hidden Garden outdid themselves.
